Comments about Nowell! Carols of Christmas Joy
. . . inspiring and creative.
. . . your CD is FAN-FRICKIN-TASTIC!
. . . it is a true work of art.
. . . I was not the least bit in a Christmas mood until I started listening to this CD.
This really is a MUST HAVE for the Christmas season. And Go Tell It On the Mountain!!! Well . . . it blew me away.
For one thing, your selection of songs is refreshing, a satisfying blend of the familiar with the less-often heard (including some of my favorites, such as “Il est ne” and “Of the Father’s Love Begotten”), and, Peg, your lullaby makes a lovely companion to the others. I like the intimate scale of your arrangements . . . I also appreciate the variety of instrumentation—and the often-unexpected harmonies that really make me hear the songs in a fresh way. Just beautiful. I’ll enjoy listening over and over again to these recordings.

Comment about the CDs:
I absolutely, positively LOVE both CDs. I can’t decide which is my favorite; they are both so well done, and the musicality is superb. I love the pieces that are done “old world” — I picture myself in merry old England listening to these pieces. Even if you have 86 Christmas CDs (which I think I do!) these two are wonderful to add to the collection. They are just SO different from all of the others. They may stay out all year.
