Non-Personally-Identifying Information
Like most websites, pegthompson.com collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. pegthompson.com’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how pegthompson.com’s visitors use its website.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
We use plugins from Jetpack and Akismet to provide anti-spam services.
Contact forms
There are two contact forms on pegthompson.com.
On the Contact page we have a form you may use to contact us by email.
In the sidebar the contact form is provided to enable the visitor to signup to receive email notifications of blog posts and new content. We ask for your name and email address. We also have a checkbox where you consent to give us this information. This information is used internally by us and with Constant Contact to enable us to provide this service.
Cookies
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. pegthompson.com uses cookies to help us identify and track visitors, their usage of our website, and their website access preferences.
